SIA “Nordic Plast” obtains an “EuCertPlast” certificate for compliance of processed raw materials with the European quality standards

The polymer material processing company SIA “Nordic Plast”, a part of the largest environment management and waste recycling group  SIA “Eco Baltia grupa”, has obtained a certificate of the European certification program "EuCertPlast” certificate  accordance with the European Union (EU) standard EN 15343:2007. Based on that, manufacturers who use recycled raw materials by “Nordic Plast” obtain official acknowledgement of the origin, traceability and composition of the recycled material and its compliance with the “EuCertPlast” requirements.

“We make effort on daily basis to systematize the recycling processes, facilitating efficiency of production. As a result, we can ensure a high quality and highly valuable finished products. Already last year we implemented the quality management and environmental managements systems in accordance with the International Standardisation Organization certificates ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.The company also actively implements the LEAN cultureallowing timely identification of the necessary improvement in the company and increase its competitiveness in the export markets. "EuCertPlast” is one of the most important certificates for the European recyclers, confirming the quality of the whole production process and the final product,”  says Andris Trumars, the director of SIA “Nordic Plast”, adding that currently the European market of plastic package recycling is relatively saturated and still struggles with the consequences of Covid-19 crisis, therefore high quality material suitable for the consumer’s needs and the European requirements is a significant factor in order to stay in the market.

The obtained “EuCertPlast” certificate confirms that all resources produced by “Nordic Plast” have been manufactured by recycling the secondary polymer materials. Which also proves the origin and quality of the products.. In the certification process the stages of the company’s production were evaluated, from purchase of raw materials and process of recycling to sales of the finished product.  The acknowledgement allows the customers of the company who use recycled resources in their production to comply with further requirements regarding continued production and market placement. 

The objective of certification is to facilitate an environment friendly process of plastic recycling in accordance with the generally accepted European standard EN 15343:2007 complying with the international eco-label standard ISO 14024 as well as the requirements of the first eco-label “Blue Angel”. “EuCertPlast” certificate after positive evaluation of a company is issued for one year. “EuCertPlast” certified companies include plastic recyclers from Germany, France, Poland, Italy, Austria, Spain and other European countries.

 

SIA “Nordic Plast” is one of the leading polymer secondary resource recycling companies in the Baltics. The company recycles different kinds of used LDPE, HDPE and PP products, thus producing high quality secondary resources – granules of various kinds.
